Super from Craft
Craft’s Super is a familiar sight on Dutch waters. Stable ships with rounded bilges, a steel hull and hardwood superstructure come in all sizes and shapes. The smallest measures 9.50 m and features an open cockpit and single engine. This version was built from about 1955 to about 1970. Around this time,Jachtwerf Klaasens in Voorschoten also built larger versions. The 11.20, 11.50, 12.60, 13.60, 14.00 etc. These distinctive ships are easily identified by model. Again, steel hulls with rounded bilges, teak decks over steel lower decks and solid teak superstructures, with the hull decks and hulls painted in white. The first models were equipped with a wooden support mast, later this was dropped for the convertible top. The larger models, from 11.20 onward, were equipped with 2 engines. 2x DAF 575 105 hp or 615 118 hp, or 2x (French) Volvo Penta 125 hp. The single engine models were often rebuilt later.
