Ship windows and ship glazing

Vessel windows and vessel glazing for yachts.
There are several systems on the market for installing windows in a yacht. We have highlighted a few for you:

  • Rubber tread: Synthetic rubber which is available in a variety of sizes. It is characterized by the tendon that is present, the respective tendon presses glass more firmly into the rebate. One disadvantage of rubber profiles is their stripping and drying properties, which make it necessary to replace them approximately every 5 years. Both the rubber and the tendon are available in different colors.
  • Aluminum Profile: Made of Aluminum profile, which can be placed in the rebate both with clamp blocks, counter frame and thermo profile. One first molds the rebate, from the mold the profile is bent and welded. The corresponding glass is ordered, it must be of hardened quality, also the customized profiles are anodized. The glass is available in numerous shades. So there is green, smoked and transparent. The aluminum profile is available as clear, black, silver or brass anodized. Powder coating in RAL as desired is also possible.
  • Thermo-profile: is double glazed and has the good property of being highly condensation resistant. Various designs are possible: fixed window, sliding window, 3/4 folding window, full folding window, pocket window, double sliding window, oval window, porthole.

In addition to the ship windows described above, there are other ship windows. Such as, deck hatches, windshield or door. these can all be supplied in the version described above.

Some examples of factories are: Plasmans, Rhigo, Hora, Smaal, Gebo and Vetus.
