Buying Dutch motorboats

Purchasing

As a purchaser of a vessel you expect security and expertise. We have plenty of expertise based on years of experience. To underline this your Yacht Broker, Ricardo Bosma, is EMCI certified and affiliated with the N.B.M.S.

Realistic selling prices

It is important that we work with and inform you of current market prices, based on market knowledge and experience. We also, on occasion, will ask colleagues in the yachting business for current market prices. Our goal is that should you wish to resell your boat through our sales channel after having purchased it from us originally we strive to reach at least a comparable yield.

Boats for sale – sales brochure and online sales database

In our sales database you will find about 45 well-maintained motor yachts, classic sailing yachts and houseboats. All ships have been carefully documented in well-organized sales brochures with complete descriptions of the equipment and inventory. The vast majority of our boats for sale are moored in our own marina, which allows you to view the yachts for sale at your leisure.

Trade-in, financing

We also mediate in case of a possible trade-in or with funding. This will bring your dream within reach sooner than you could imagine. Through our contacts with various reputable financial institutions we almost always find an appropriate solution.
Inspection

Before the final purchase we recommend that you inspect the ship. This inspection can be done through a test run with the ship and subsequently lifting the ship out of the water for further inspection purposes. During the inspection you can be accompanied by an expert of your choice. We do recommend a HISWA or ANWB expert.

Procedures

We always use asking prices (with the exception of new boats). Depending on delivery wishes negotiation is possible. A reasonable offer is always discussed with the seller. If both parties agree on the sales price, you will be the new owner of the ship without any additional cost added. (NOTE! Expert evaluation costs and registry costs are often borne by the buyer, sales costs shall be borne by the seller). All necessary documents, such as the purchase agreement, financing- and inspection documents, but also a possible landregistry, mortgage,  export tax documents and VAT documents can be taken care of for you through our sales office. Also for insurances you have come to the right place. After receiving the entire sales sum we proceed to handing over the ship. Since buyers appreciate it when the old owner explains all the "ins and outs" of their new acquisition, this part of the sale is often taken care of with the former owner and the broker. Should time be an issue it is even possible for the ship to be delivered to a marina of your choice. This additional service is against a reasobale fee.
